As holistic health and nutrition counselors, we realize that no one dietary or lifestyle theory suits all. Drawing on nuggets of wisdom from ancient, modern, eastern, and western philosophies, we find what best works for you. We examine current and past symptoms, genetics, cultural background, blood type, as well as past, present, and desired lifestyle choices as guideposts to help direct you.
We work on the premise that eating quality whole foods and making informed choices is the best path to a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. We welcome vegans, vegetarians, meat-eaters, and anyone in between. We help you to safely detoxify, cleanse, build, and maintain a healthy body. Our goal is to help you uncover the many joys and benefits of healthy eating, and to provide the necessary tools and resources to develop a lifetime of balance, even in the midst of a very busy life.
Prior to enrollment in any program, we will take a complete health assessment covering past and present diet, past and present health issues, family and cultural background, and many other health-related topics. After assessing your health, we discuss our program, which can range from three to six months, program allowing enough time to make necessary and meaningful changes that will last.
Throughout our program, you will learn how to develop a diet and lifestyle that best suits your unique needs. You will also receive materials and resources to help expedite the process towards optimal health, along with advice and education regarding supplementation.
We also provide optional Healthy Cooking lessons to incorporate what you learn along the way. Ultimately, you receive a practical education on food and lifestyle that may be used to make informed health choices throughout the rest of your life.
Whether you are sitting down for a full meal or having a snack on the run, food is a part of your everyday life. Whether you are aware of it or not, you make choices all day about what you put into your body and your life in general. Everything you eat affects you. Think about it. A tiny aspirin can relieve you of pain within minutes. A cup of coffee can get you wired. A piece of chocolate can ease your stress. Some things are not as obvious, but everything affects in subtle ways. If you are unhappy, anxious, or rushed, you will tend to make poor choices. When you eat well, you feel satisfied on many levels. In fact, you can actually eat a whole lot more than you thought and enjoy it too.
We believe true health is attained when one finds balance and is appropriately nourished in all aspects of life, including but not limited to relationships, career, exercise, spirituality, and, of course, food. Balance and nourishment do not come from deprivation or willpower; they are the results of awareness, education, guidance, and ultimately self-love and respect.
Could one conversation change your life?
We invite you to an initial consultation to discuss your concerns and goals, your history and what you have always imagined for your life. This session is a great way for you to get a feel for how we work with clients and to see if we are a good match. There is no obligation, but we welcome you to consider that this conversation may be a turning point in your life.
